April Message
All God's Creatures
April’s angel message is on the animal kingdom. You are
being encouraged to spend time thinking about God’s creatures.
If you have a beloved pet or pets, watch them with a new awareness. See if you
can discover something wonderfully different about them or just enjoy their
nearness during a special moment.
There is much that animals can teach you. Consider how they communicate with one
another. What is it that they do? For example, can you find actions that lean
toward innocence and trust? Or watch how your pets can make known to you their
emotions and desires with a rub of the head or a lick on the hand. Think about
how they can express affection and acceptance with only silence or just by their
nearness.
By taking the time in watching your pets, the angels say that you can master how
to share your own simple animal-like gifts with family members and friends that
you hold dear.
Another beautiful thought is that your pets are surrounded by nature angels as
well, (fairies, elementals, or devas) just as we have our guardian angels and
spirit guides. And, in some respects, your pet can also act as an earth angel
for you or your loved ones while they walk this earth alongside you. Some may,
because of their deep affection for you, even return to watch over you after
they pass over.
Don’t forget about the wild creatures, either. Especially the ones that come
across your path from time to time or unexpectedly. They, too, may have come
into your life to teach some important lesson or convey a special message for
your spiritual or emotional growth.
American Indians believe that their fellow creatures exhibit certain
characteristics which can
produce great healing and power. By taking the time to learn and understand what
interacting with a creature means, one can call upon the power of that animal in
times of need. You might say it’s being able to draw into complete harmony with
the animal’s strength and habit patterns. The Indians say, to know an animal’s
way is to grow closer to the Great Mystery and, in turn, to all life.
Isn’t that what this is all about?
