Be Gentle For Yourself
October with all it’s fall beauty reminds us that nature is slowing down for a
period of quietness. The angels say that we need to take a page from nature’s
book and do the same for ourselves. However, what the angels also want to
suggest, is that besides easing our busy schedule somewhat, we need to
concentrate on bringing some of nature’s gentleness back into our lives. It’s
not only important for our mind and body, but it’s necessary for our sensory
well-being. Our fives senses are in desperate need of some gentle gifts of
appreciation. Here, the angels say, is just one self-loving way that we can
bring our sensory life back into balance.
1. SOUND: Listen to easy instrumental music so that the soft sounds and
smooth melodies can fill your ears with love.
2. SIGHT: Turn out the lights and surround yourself with lots of white,
unscented candles. Let their quiet flicker of beauty fill your vision with
tranquility.
3. TASTE: Sip on a glass of pure, filtered water which not only has a natural
flavor taste, but can nourish your inner body with life-saving liquid.
4. SMELL: In a simmering pot, drop pieces of cinnamon, orange spices, cloves, or
other natural ingredients so that they will surround you with a fragrance of
homecoming and relaxation.
5. TOUCH: Select a calming crystal such as Rose Quartz, green Chrysoprase,
violet Amethyst, or yellow Citrine or Amber. Hold it in your hands. Let the
stone’s crystal energy flow through your body to heal any physical or emotional
imbalances.
